ABOUT

Post Pop is a creative project where art and storytelling converge. In a digital age defined by speed and distraction, where social media feeds are filled with inauthentic, performative noise, Post Pop works to revive the lost art of human connection. An invitation to slow down and witness.

Through nostalgia-tinged postcards, art, blog posts and musings, Post Pop invites you to slow down, to look deeper, to follow the subtle pulls of your heart, to sense the tingle of connection that links us all together. Surrender to mystery, bask in the unseen, allow the unexpected to unfold, and simply be curious.

Postcards and Art That Tell a Story.

Look Deeper.

THE SCIENCE BEHIND
POST POP

Post Pop is rooted is science.

There’s a certain weight to the tangible. An object passed from one hand to another, a message left open to the world. Science tells us that physical items, like postcards, create stronger emotional connections and activate sensory pathways in the brain, embedding memories and emotions more deeply than digital counterparts.

Handwritten notes, marked by human touch and intention, provide permission to pause and feel. The simple act of holding a postcard can engage the medial prefrontal cortex, linked to processing emotions, making the experience profoundly memorable.

Postcards teach the art of saying much with little. Their brevity demands precision, embedding messages that resonate long after they’re read. Receiving a postcard in the mail releases dopamine, triggering the brain’s reward system and linking joy to connection and social bonds.

Collage and found object art engage the brain in a different way, awakening visual curiosity through layered textures, unexpected contrasts, and the blending of the familiar with the unfamiliar. The brain, wired to seek patterns, is drawn into the search for meaning, stimulating imagination and insight.

These art forms invite exploration and playfulness that connect with the inner child, increasing self-awareness and promoting emotional growth while nurturing pathways to healing. Research shows that observing and engaging with art can act as a catalyst for building emotional resilience and processing past traumas, integrating old experiences into new perspectives.

It’s here that Post Pop thrives. In these small acts, these quiet rebellions—a postcard, a collage, a found object–each a whisper waiting to be discovered, asking you to look deeper.

Science tells us these moments matter. Post Pop reminds us why.
