Who were you before the world told you who to be?
 
When you wondered fiercely, guided by imagination and possibility, curiosity and exploration? You knew more about the real world before the age of deadlines, 9–5s, bills, and responsibilities. Do you remember?
 
A child emerges from a dreamscape, a portal ignited by fireflies, finally able to reemerge as her eyes meet those of her adult self. Her adult eyes soften, as if seeing her for the first time. In being honored, the inner child returns to life, and with her, she carries the highest version of the adult she’s become.
 
The inner child and highest self are one and the same.
 
Fireflies honors the thread between child and adult. We aren’t that different, we’re just told to be. At our core, the inner child is the source of our intuition, our love, our compassion, our dreams.
